Gary James Ping

Danville Gary James Ping, 74, of Danville passed away at his home on June 27, 2021 at 7:20 PM.

Gary was born on December 14, 1946 the son of Edgar James "Jim" and Martha "Marty" (Vance) Ping in Danville, IL.

Gary is survived by his three sons, Scott Ping of Danville, IL, Mark Ping of Tennessee, and Troy Ping of Danville, IL, five grandchildren, Courtney, Nicole, Brittney, Sarah, and Markie as well as twelve great-grandchildren.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Connie.

Gary worked in Security at what is now OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL. He enjoyed spending his free time fishing and participating in shooting sports.

A Celebration of Life will be at held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, 3940 N Vermilion St. in Danville, Illinois. Raymie Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at the funeral home.
