Gary Dye, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 16, 1943 in Danville, IL, the son of Clark and Virginia (Brewer) Dye. He married Linda Wheeler on December 22, 1968 in Covington, IN at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She survives. Surviving him are his wife, one son- Jason Dye, one daughter- Karla Dye both of Covington, one sister Bonita (Mike) Fairchild of Burlington, North Carolina and many nieces nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents. Gary served his country in the United States Army. He worked at Hyster; now NAACO in Danville for 34 years before retiring in 2001. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Covington, IN. He was an avid Indiana Hoosier and Los Angeles Dodger fan. Gary enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors and most of all was a loving family man. A Celebration of Garys Life will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM EST at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Covington with Pastor Steve Nelson officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Sunsets Covington Chapel from 4:00-7:00 PM EST. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials can be made in Garys name to the Mt.
