Gary H Carrell

Gary H. Carrell, 64, of Danville, Illinois, passed away on December 6, 2024, with his family by his side. Gary was born on September 7, 1960, in Danville, Illinois, the son of Howard and Mary (Robinson) Carrell.

Gary leaves behind his son Matt (Lauren) Carrell, two grandchildren Owen and Morgan Carrell, two sisters Marcy Carrell and Pam Nichols, Gary had a special bond with his nephew Steve (Kim) Carrell, and his ex-wife who took special care of him while he was sick, Teresa Brazas Jones (Dan).

Gary was preceded in death by his mother Mary.

Gary enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. He had an infectious laugh and a great sense of humor. Gary loved sports and he loved to root in his favorite team, the Steelers, during the NFL season. He loved helping everyone and would give you the shirt off his back.

Gary and his family have entrusted Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 414 South State Street Westville, Illinois, with cremation rights, per his wishes there will be no services.
