Gary Brinegar

Gary Brinegar, 63, of Fithian, IL passed away on Monday, December 5th, 2022, in San Diego, CA. He was born November 29, 1959, in Danville, IL, the son of Ted and Betty Brinegar.

Gary is survived by his two children, Mallory (Chris) Reed; Luke Brinegar; his mother Betty Brinegar; his siblings Tonda (Dave) Perry, Peggy (Brad) Miracle, Jenny (Neil) Young, Randy (Deb) Brinegar.

He is preceded in death by his father, Ted Brinegar.

Gary was a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale and retired from the United States Postal Services. Gary had a love for animals (especially his grand dogs Bruce and Rocky) as well as advocating for animal rights throughout his life. Gary was an avid sports fan, especially for baseball and would watch any team he could in his past time. He was from a family of Chicago Cubs fans but did enjoy watching the San Diego Padres and St. Louis Cardinals too.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 2 PM at Stearns Cemetery in Fithian Illinois.
