Garnet Lucille Scott Reynolds, 86, of Danville, died Saturday afternoon at 2:15p.m., at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born to her parents Clarence and Hildred (Clingan) Scott, at their home on the Lincoln Trail by a small community of Conkeytown, June 17, 1920. She graduated from Oakwood High School. Garnet met her husband John Ray Raymond Reynolds at a roller-skating rink outside of Muncie, Illinois. They were married September 16, 1938 in Covington, Kentucky. Garnet retired from Mangels in 1975. After she retired, she enjoyed seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, growing flowers and driving in the country enjoying the wildlife and the sunsets. Garnet is survived by her son, John Jack Reynolds and his wife Sharon. Garnet has four grandchildren, John Scott Reynolds and his wife Kathy and their children Tiffani and Tyler, Pamela Ann Reynolds Winarski and her husband Darin and their children Christopher and Grace, Carrie Lynn Reynolds, all of Atlanta Georgia and grandson, Steven Ray Reynolds and his wife YuMi Kim from Wadsworth, Ohio. She is also survived by her four brothers- James Scott of Fithian, Wayne Scott and wife Mabrajean of Oakwood, Clarence Scott Jr. of Lafayette, Indiana and Glenn Scott and wife Jeanne of Danville, and several nieces and nephews. Garnet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Raymond Reynolds, one sister, Thelma Scott Bradley and sister-in-law-Elizabeth Scott. A Celebration of the Life of Garnet Lucille Scott Reynolds will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, with Mr. D. Thomas Hendrickson officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
