Garnet M. Smith

Danville- Garnet M. Smith, 66, of Danville passed away at 1:05 PM on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on November 28, 1943 the daughter of Kenneth and Beatrice Mary Victoria Armitage Smith. She is survived by a daughter Cindy (Ed) Brown of Paxton; son Kevin Ellis of Dana, IN; 2 sisters Kathy Hora of CO and Barb (Danny) Powers of East Alton, IL; 4 grandchildren Devin and Peyton Ellis and Mariah and Michael Brown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister Marilyn and her father Kenneth. Garnet enjoyed many things such as reading, movies, Illini Basketball, playing computer games, BINGO, birds and dogs. A Celebration of Life for Garnet M. Smith will be held at 10 AM on Monday, May 10, 2010 at St. James United Methodist Church in Danville. Pastor Tiffany Black will officiate.
