Danville- Gale E. Galloway, 74, of Danville passed away at 3:32 PM on Monday, September 17, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born March 24, 1938 in Fountain County, IN, the son of Lowell M. Galloway and Burnis (Gremore) Galloway. He married Mary Ann Fonte on December 15, 1969, in Danville, IL. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Bret Galloway of Palominas, AZ and Lowell Galloway of Los Angeles, California, and a sister, Darleen Swingle of Covington, IN. He was preceded in death by a daughter Sharmon Galloway, his parents, a brother Steve Galloway and a sister, Doris Kagels. Gale was a 32nd degree Mason and was raised in Danville Anchor Lodge #980 and he was a member of the Gao Grotto. He worked at the Allith Corp., Esco Corp., and owned/operated the Crow's Nest Marine in the 1970's. He retired from Esco Corp. in June 2001. Gale enjoyed working in his lawn and garden, reading, and volunteering with the Internet Master at the Illinois Extension. A service to celebrate the life of Gale Galloway will be held at 11 AM IL time on Saturday, September22, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM IL time prior to the service on Saturday, also at Sunset in Danville.
