Gale A Gayler

Gale A. Gayler, 64, of Covington, IN passed away on July 27, 2013 peacefully at his home. He was born on March 29, 1949 in Covington, IN, the son of Charles and Mary Marie (Watts) Gayler. He married Judy Shuman on March 1, 1975 in Covington. She survives. Surviving him are his wife, two sons-John (Suzanne) Allen of Newtown, IN and Brad (Cara) Allen of Danville, IL, two brothers- Hal (Colette) Gayler and John (LuAnne) Gayler both of Covington, IN, one sister- Verlinda Babb of Veedersburg, IN, two grandchildren- Chelsea N. Allen, Jordan A. Allen and several nieces and nephews. Gale was preceded in death by his parents, one sister- Sandra Kay Gayler, one brother in-law- Vern Babb and his favorite dog “Lady”. He worked at Hyster for 14 years, Coffing Apple Orchard and then retiring from Overpeck Gas Company. Gale loved hunting, fishing, etching glass, International tractors, watching bull riding and rodeos. He was John Waynes #1 fan. A Celebration of Gales Life will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM EST at Sunsets Covington Chapel. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM EST at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, IN. Memorials can be made in Gales name to the Rileys Childrens Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
