Gail Page Fitzpatrick

On Monday, August 30, 2021, Page Fitzpatrick, loving wife, mother and sister passed away at the age of 71 at Indiana University North Hospital in Carmel, Indiana. Born in Danville, Illinois to Genevieve Lee (Curtis) Clingan and Freddie "Fred" Clingan, she was brought home to Silverwood, Indiana. Page spent most of her formative years in Kingman, Indiana where she became a drum majorette, an accomplished marimbist, a master twirler of fire batons and traveled Europe all prior to starting her college career. Page graduated from Indiana State University with a Masters of Interior Design, a Bachelors of Music and a Bachelors of Education. Later, she completed her second Masters of Education from Eastern Illinois University allowing her to become a beloved teacher to many students in Illinois, Indiana and in the Bahamas. Page met and fell in love with Dale Fitzpatrick while she was working as an Interior Designer at Kittles Design Studio in Indianapolis, Indiana. The couple was married on Christmas Eve. They continued their journey in Kingman, Indiana and eventually relocated to Bismarck, Illinois where they reared their daughter and built an accomplished and loving life together. This year marks the celebration of their 45th wedding anniversary. Always vivacious and craving new adventures, Page reveled in traveling throughout her life, usually with one or more of her beloved rescue dogs. Page enjoyed visiting her and Dales vacation home in Bimini, Bahamas where she became well loved by the other residents and taught in the local school. She loved the sun, the sea and most of all meeting new and interesting people. Being a lifelong student, Page continued her education by researching any subject of her interest, which often led to inspiring others to expand their own knowledge. Planting "seeds" of ideas in others was one of her true passions. Always a person that paved her own path, she considered education as the gift that could never be taken away. Page is known to many simply as a devoted friend. Her laughter and love will be forever remembered in the hearts of those whom she has left behind. Her brave spirit has created a lasting impression on everyone that had the privilege to call her friend. Page was preceded in death by her parents and her baby brother Roy Lee. She is survived by her husband Dale, her daughter Sasha Fitzpatrick, her sister Melanie Clingan Worley (Robert "Bob"), her brother Danny "Dan" Clingan (Sharon), her nephews Jordan Gooch, Jevin Gooch (Cari), her great niece, Jessa Ann and her great nephew Jaxston Gooch. Her family from her husbands side includes Kelly Fitzpatrick ONeill, Helen Winner (Brian) and Robert "Bobby" Fitzpatrick (Lisa), eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her cherished little dog, Scarlet Star.
