Fredrick Maskel

DANVILLE- Fredrick A. "Pete" Maskel 61 of Danville passed away at 7:28am Thursday May 27, 2004 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on October 15, 1942, in Danville, the son of Boyd and Hazel (Morrison) Maskel. He married Linda Morgan on July 23, 1989 in Danville. She survives. Other survivors include his mother Hazel, two daughters, Mary Maskel of Chicago, IL, and Kathy (Doug) McCartney of Chestnut, IL. Four brothers, Art (Jeannie) Maskel of Gessie, IND, Daryl (LaDonna) Maskel of Sidell, Jim (Alverta) Maskel of Georgetown, and George (Pam) Maskel of Covington, IND. Also surviving are two stepchildren, two-step grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews. After being Honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy, Pete was employed at the Danville Metal Stamping Company for 38 years before retiring in March of 2004. He was a 32-degree Mason and was a member of the Catlin Masonic Lodge. Besides spending time with family, Pete enjoyed antique tractors, fishing in the river and lakes, mushrooming and joking with friends.
