Frederick “Fred” A. Sellers, 69, of Rantoul, IL passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by friends and family on the morning of Thursday, April 11, 2024.

He was born June 8, 1954 in Rantoul, a son of Thomas and Emma (Swanson) Sellers.  He married Twyla Niemann on August 14, 1981 in Buckley, IL.  She preceded him in death on May 16, 2012

He is survived by a daughter, Paige (Corey) Cler of Rantoul, 3 grandchildren, Trent Sellers of Williamsburg, VA; Emery and Elyse Cler both of Rantoul.

He was preceded in death by his son, Cole Sellers, his parents and 2 brothers, Tom and Tim.

Fred was a 1972 graduate of Rantoul Township High School.  He worked for Kraft Foods for 39 years, retiring in 2011.  He was an avid Cub and Illini fan.  He and Marie McLemore, a longtime girlfriend, enjoyed traveling and sporting events or just enjoying life.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 on Monday morning at the Eden Park Cemetery, 500 Church Drive, Rantoul.  Rev. Robert Freeman will officiate.

A Celebration of Life will follow at the Reid Place Cul de Sac, Rantoul.

Memorials may be made to the Rantoul VFW.
