Frederick P. Wittemann Sr.

Frederick Peter Wittemann Sr., 79, of Gibson City passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Carle Foundation Hospital. He was born in Queens, New York on February 15, 1945, the son of John and Hellen (Bartow) Wittemann. On August 9, 1963, Fred married the love of his life, Barbara Wilson in Mineola, NY, she survives.

Fred is also survived by his sons, Fred Jr., T.J. (Lisa), and Gary Wittemann; grandchildren, Thomas, Brian, Billy, Christopher, and Amber; great-grandchildren, Colin Liam Morgan, and Kashton; brothers, Tom and Billy Wittemann and sister, Maryann.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John, and Hellen, and two brothers, Jack, and Raymond Wittemann.

Fred enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and spending time working on his house. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his great sense of humor.
