Frederick 'Fred' Ruh

Roberts Fredrick "Fred" Ruh passed away unexpectedly Saturday July 24th at the age of 72. His persistence through medical issues never hindered him from spending quality time with his family, which is what he loved most.

Fred was the beloved father of Tracy (Joe) Kamman, Amy (Steve) Kociolek, and Emma (Ryan) Cole, and proud grandfather to Katelyn and Sarah Kamman, Hannah Kociolek, And Isabelle, Jacob, and Olivia Cole.

Fred, served in the United States Army during Vietnam, where he cultivated a love for mathematics and reading. Fred was an avid reader of theology and loved Jesus church. He was overwhelmed by the love Jesus and it was his passion to spread the gospel of Christ.

A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at the Church of the Cross, 1204 Rolling Hills Drive, Mahomet, IL 61853. A Private Committal Service was held at Danville National Cemetery with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 210. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St., Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Veterans Activities Fund at the Illiana Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Danville, IL.
