Fred Reich

Fred Reich, 89, of Danville passed away on November 17, 2008 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. Fred was born June 15, 1919 in Danville son of Frank and Martha Drews Reich. He married Maxine Stuebe in Los Angeles, CA; and after 63 years, she preceded him in 2006. Survivors include nieces and nephews: Ron Reich of Danville, IL, Jane (Johnny) Parker of San Jose, CA, Judith A. Cline of Indianapolis, IN, David Divan of New York, NY, Julie (Steve) Mercer of Franklin, TN, Nicole (Drew) Nolan of Irving, TX, and Sue (Rick) Tomlinson of Ball Ground, GA; three sister-in-laws: Fern (Verl) Cline of Covington, IN, Gin Stuebe of Catlin, IL and Wini (Dave) Divan of Irving, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephew James Cline and niece Joan Cline. Fred was a graduate of Danville High School and served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant during WWII. He worked in sales for many years at Goodloe E. Moore Company retiring in 1985. Fred was a life member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville; and belonged to the American Legion Post #210. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. A Celebration of Freds Life will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville with Pastor Dan Fienen officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Tuesday evening at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery in Danville, with Military Honors preformed by the American Legion Post #210. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
