DANVILLE- Fred R. Cramer, 76, of Danville, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Carle Hospital in Urbana. Fred was born on July 9, 1937 in the Hawbuck Creek area of Danville to Fred Roland Cramer and Lola Mary Neighbors. He married Sharon Dunavan on June 28, 1959 in Danville. She survives. Also surviving is his loving son Tim (wife, Sandi). Fred attended Danville High School, and later went to work for General Electric as a Punch Press Lead Set-up. He also proudly served in the National Guard 5th Army. Known for his upbeat and easy going nature, Fred always enjoyed a good joke. Having a huge love for flying led Fred to get his Private Pilot License in 1987. Throughout his life, he had many pets and had a love for all animals and nature. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital in honor of Fred. A Celebration of Freds life will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. A memorial gathering will be held prior to the Celebration from 4:00-6:00pm.
