Fred Miethe

Fred Wayne Miethe, 39, of Danville passed away at 7:30 p.m. Saturday April 2, 2011 at Gottlieb Hospital in Melrose Park, IL. He was born on January 9, 1972 in Danville, IL the son of Gary and Gloria Jean (Collins) Miethe. Survivors include his mother, Gloria Miethe of Westville; his grandmother, Agnes Ladd of Danville, his sister, Sheila Rodriguez of Danville, his niece, Danielle Alexandria Rodriguez of Oakwood, and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father and grandfather, Fred Miethe. Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during Desert Storm. He was an outdoorsman. He helped take care of cattle in the winter and like to drive tractors. Fred was good with kids and liked teaching them about right and wrong. He was very ornery, in a fun way. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushrooming. A celebration of Freds life will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel in Westville. Phil Miller will officiate. He will be laid to rest at Sandusky Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm Wednesday, prior to the services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
