Fred Day, 66 of Danville, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Carle Hospital, Urbana. He was born March 25, 1947 in Danville, the son of Ralph and Alice (Shepard) Day. He married Lovana Reyolds on April 21, 1994. They later divorced and became best friends. Fred will be missed by his children, Cory Day, Chasity England, Crystal Day and Shannon Rademacher all of Danville; nine grandchildren and one granddaughter on the way; one great grandchild; niece and nephew, Missy and Jimmy both of Westville. Fred was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Miller and one sister, Eva Myers. At Freds house the TV was always tuned to ESPN so he could watch his favorite team, the Miami Dolphins. His passion for sporting events was evident just by walking into his home, as he collected sports memorabilia. Fred supported Adopt-a-Child for many years. He shot a compound bow competitively for Jennings Archery for a number of years. Fred loved his job as a golf cart mechanic and spent 20 years making sure the carts were running at peak performance. Those of you who knew Fred, knew he never wanted a public viewing. So in honor of Freds wishes, the family has called upon the care of Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center to follow through with his cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. If you would love to reach out to Freds family, please join them in sharing photos, videos, and memories on Freds tribute wall at ww.sunsetfuneralhome.com.
