Franklin David "Frank" Clem, 69, of Danville, passed away at 8:58 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at his home in Danville. He was born September 13, 1935 in Blount Township, Illinois, the son of Russell C. and Grace Hazel (Laird) Clem. Frank is survived by: 4 Sons- Chris A. Clem of Miami, FL, Dane J. (Kathleen) Clem of Tacoma, Washington, Brian L. Clem of Danville and Joseph D. Clem of Danville; 6 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Brothers- Russell (Geraldine) Clem of Hemet, CA and William (Judy) Clem of Danville; 4 Sisters- Betty (Clarence) Stewart of Danville, Mary (Don) Porter of Columbus, GA, Bert (Henry) Jurgensen of Danville and Shirley (Lenard) Knee of Danville; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Glenda Lane Clem - his wife of 36 years and 4 Brothers. He graduated from Henning High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army and Marines from 1955-1959 in Germany and the U.S. Frank worked as a farmer, for TeePak, and later for the Teamsters as a Truck Driver until his retirement in 1998. After his retirement he worked for the News Gazette delivering newspapers. He was a member of Henning Church of Christ and was baptized there in October, 1985. First and foremost, Frank was a family man. He enjoyed spending time with his four sons and his grandchildren - his family was his most prized possession. He was always willing to help anyone who needed anything. He was an excellent golfer and enjoyed watching sports.
