Oakwood- Franklin Frank D. Harden I, 72, of Oakwood passed away at 2:00 PM on Tuesday July, 20, 2011 at the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville. He was born on June 6, 1939 in Nashville, IN, the son of Walter and Zolla Pitcher Harden. He married Mary Godsey on November 25, 1978 in Peoria, IL. She survives. Also surviving are 4 sons, Tom Harden, Don Harden, Michael (McLaine) Harden, and Franklin Harden II; 2 daughters, Teresa Crusko and Regina Johnson; 4 brothers, Dean Harden, Kenneth Harden, Michael Harden, and Roger Harden; 3 sisters, Louise Harden, Mary Gill, and Nancy Pine; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 brothers, Dwight, Robert, David, and Jim Harden. Frank served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a manager at Lowells Foods for 45 years. He enjoyed working on home projects, talking to people, and spending time with his family. A service to celebrate the life of Frank D. Harden I will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor James Blue will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, July 22 also at Sunset in Danville.
