GEORGETOWN - Frank Koss Sr., 59, of Georgetown, IL took the passage to his one true love, Debbie Koss (who preceded him in death on April 4, 2007) on November 19th, 2007, at Provena USMC in Danville. He was born on January 2nd, 1948, in Windber, Pennsylvania, the son of Frank Koss and Ruth Ann (Rogers) Snook. He lived & died as a proud U.S. Marine. He is survived by: his children, Debra (Mark) Garner of Friendswood, TX, Steffanie (Jeremiah) Lyons of Georgetown, Frank Koss Jr. of Georgetown, and Renee (Goochie) Koss (Dustin Campbell) of Georgetown; as well as his loving puppies, Cookie, Lady, Mikey, Tramp, and Booker; his grandchildren, Daniel Medley of Friendswood, TX, Justin and Jade Gilbert of North Carolina, Kane Huber of Tilton, Brookie Gilbert of Georgetown, Dalton Gilbert of Georgetown, and Nathan Garner of Friendswood, TX, (he was know as Grandpa Turtle to many); his mother, Ruth Snook; his brothers, Ricky (Nancy) Koss of Danville and Charlie (Susie) Koss of Ridge Farm; his sisters, Ruthie Koss of Westville, Connie Koss of Ridge Farm, Reba (Don) Haun of Westville, and Treva (Jim) Simmons of Sidell. He will always be remembered by his special friends, Mary Sanders, his sister- Connie, Big O, Mark Lete, and Hannah and Logan Sanders. Frank was preceded in death by his father- Frank, step father- Earl Snook, and one brother- Jimmy Koss. Frank was a welder. He was a gardener and a fairy collector. He also enjoyed crafts. He was a very caring person to all who knew him. A Memorial visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon of Friday November 23, 2007 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, 200 E West St, Georgetown, IL. Military Rites will be conducted at 1:00pm, Friday, November 23rd, 2007, at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
