Frank J. Chiaramello

Frank J. Chiaramello, 86 of Danville lived a full life. He lost his battle with mesothelioma August 5th, 2010 at his home. Born September 22, 1923 in Westville, he was the son of Frank and Lena (Bogetti) Chiaramello. He married Erma Larita White on July 31, 1946 in Danville Illinois, she survives. Frank is also survived by one daughter, Victoria (William) Barnes of Westville, One granddaughter, Laurie (Steve) Rolinitis of Morton, Illinois, one grandson, Troy Barnes of Westville, and three great-grandchildren, Bryce, Tyler, and Kylie Rolinitis of Morton, Illinois, one sister Catherine (William) Wynn and her five children. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-Jim Chiaramello and George Chiaramello and Michael Christopher Barnes his grandson. Frank was a proud veteran of the US Navy Seabees in World War II serving on the island of Guam. He was a member of Jewell Whyte Post 728, Veterans of Foreign Wars of Danville, Olive Branch Lodge #38 AF& AM of which he was a Past Master, Danville Scottish Rite, receiving the Meritorious Service Award in 1985, and the York Rite Bodies of Champaign. Frank began his working career as a trucker and held an honorable withdrawal from Teamsters Local 26. He retired from General Electric in 1985, after 39 years of service, as a supervisory aid. His hobbies were woodworking and auto mechanics. He was devoted to his wife Erma his love of 64 years and to his family. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 8th, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home. A private memorial will be held later for immediate family members. He will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Catlin.
