Frank Gruszka

Frank Gruszka, 69, of Danville passed away on Monday October 21, 2019. Frank was born on May 17, 1950 the son of Frank and Mary Gruszka. On December 28, 1971 he married the love of his life Debbie Hauth and they have spent the last fourty-seven years together, she survives.

Also surviving are two brothers, Donald (Connie) Gruszka of Freeport, IL and Raymond (Sallie) Gruszka of Reading, PA, as well as nine nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and niece, Mary Zink.

Frank graduated from Argo High School in 1968. He worked for Pittsburgh Paints before opening Franks House of Color in 1974. In his spare time, he enjoyed reading, watching the Cubs and spending time with his wife, Debbie, and their cats. Frank liked to be outdoors and could often be found fishing, mushroom hunting, watching the birds or tending his vegetable or flower gardens. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am on Monday October 28, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9am to 11am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Franks name to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of Danville.
