Frank E. White, 88, of Danville, passed away 9:15 p.m. Sunday April 8th, 2007 at the Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia, where he had been staying with his nephew. Frank was born June 4, 1918 in Oakland ,Illinois the son of John and Anna Cox White. On June 12th, 1942 he married Louise Gentry in San Angelo,Tx. She preceded him on April 15,2002 in Danville. He is survived by his nieces Jo Spain, Debbie Gilbert, Jacquie Deltuva, and Esther Wilkerson; nephews Dale Edwards, Curtis and Glen White. He is also survived by many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents, wife, brothers Leland and Leibert White, and sisters Flora Nixon Schoolcraft and Hazel Dukeman and 2 nieces. Frank served in the US Army from September 1945 until April 1946 and then worked for Chanute Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic retiring after 27 years. He was a long time member of the Order of Moose. He also enjoyed fishing , hunting and especially traveling with Louise to Alaska and other parts of the country. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Franks life will be held on Friday April 13,2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Pastor Connie Moody will officiate. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin. Visitation will be held Thursday April 12, 2007 from 5-:8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
