Frank 'Bud' Styer Iii

Frank Styer III, 70, of Danville, passed away at 5:47 AM on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center. Frank was born on August 30, 1941 in Danville, the son of Frank and Opal (Hansbrough) Styer Jr. Frank married Linda Holycross in 1958 in Danville. She survives. He is survived by his step-mother- Delores Styer, two daughters- Lisa (Scott) Boggess of Danville and Kelly Asmar of Danville, one brother- Greg Styer of Tilton, two sisters- Bev Pickett of Georgetown and Cindy (Mike) Montgerard of Danville, five grandchildren- Kali (Ryan) Stitt, Chasity (Phillip) Myers, Amber (Justin) Styer, Tiffany Styer, Michael (Lindsey) Boggess and seven great-grandchildren- Lexi, Lane, Landon, Brooklyn, Bryson, Braxton and Noah. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son- Frankie Styer and one daughter- Deena Styer. Frank graduated from Danville High and began his work in the Carpenters Local #269 as a millwright, where he retired in 1983. He was a member of the Potomac Lodge #782 where he was a 32 degree mason and the Gao Grotto. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with friends and family. A Celebration of Frank's life will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor James Blue officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park.
