Francois Omanga Ukundji

Dr. Franois Omanga Ukundi 56, passed away on March 7, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana,

IL. U.S.A. He was the first-born son in his family to Dr. Michel Otshu Omanga and Alice Luambo Siongo

on March 18, 1966, in The Democratic Republic of the Congo. Francois moved to France at an early age

and returned to DRC where he continued elementary school, pursued his secondary education, and

attended medical school at the University of Kinshasa. Upon graduation he pursued a career as an

OBGYN at Cliniques Universitaires De Kinshasa in the DRC.

He is survived by his wife, llda Uhuka Otchindo, son; Jean-Bruno Omanga, daughter; Marie-Louise

Omanga, siblings; Dr. Marie-Louise Omanga, Jean-Bruno "Nono" Omanga, Hlne (Mamie) Omanga,

Misha Omanga, Henriette Omanga and Jean-Michel Omanga. Francois leaves behind many aunts,

uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and several other family members and friends in DRC, U.S.A. and Europe.

Francois was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Micheline Omanga.

Services will be held on Saturday March 25, 2023 at 11am at the Vineyard Church 1500 N. Lincoln Ave.
