Francisco Yu Uy

Savoy - Francisco Yu Uy, 71, passed away on Sunday January 21, 2018 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana, IL. He was born on February 6, 1946 in Cebu City, Philippines to Vicente and Natividad (Yu) Uy. Francisco married Ester "Inday" Son on March 10, 1968 at Sacred Heart Church in Cebu City. Francisco is survived by his wife; children Lalaine (Kishor) Thope, Jerome Anthony (Janelle Kristie Osabel Chie) Uy, and Vincent Ryan (Carlina Madriaga) Uy; grandchildren Ken Charles Uy, Nikhil Thope, Rohan Thope, and Zander Uy; brothers Esteban Uy and Antonino Uy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Max Nombrado and Robert Uy. Francisco enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, cooking, and woodworking. A funeral mass in Francisco's honor will be held at 4pm on Friday January 26, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 405 W Clark St, Champaign, IL 61820. Viewing will be held one hour prior at the church. Memorial donations may be made in Francisco's name to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
