Francis M. Barnes, 68, of Danville, passed away at 10:50 AM Saturday February 11, 2012 at his home. Francis was born on April 21, 1943 in Danville the son of John S. and Harriett A. (Krauel) Barnes. He was married to Rose Mary Reed and then later married to Wanda Sue Raymer on November 18, 1989 in Danville. She survives. He is survived by two sons- Scott(Tammy) Barnes of Danville, Danny (Tonia) Barnes of Veedersburg, IN, two daughters- Tammy (Troy) Edgar of Oakland, IL, Melinda (Chris) McMahon of Danville, one stepson- Randall Servis of Danville, one stepdaughter- Tammy (Jason) Kelson of Ridge Farm, two brothers-Gene (Evelyn) Barnes, Walter Barnes of Crawfordsville, IN, two sisters- Mary Ann (Maynard) Laub of Neponset, IL, Judith (Tom) Jennings of Catlin, two sister-in-laws- Ramona and Shirley Barnes of Danville, eight grandchildren- Kayla (Derek) Gilbert, Kari, Tyler, Zach, Tanner, Chelsea, Bradey and Madyson, seven step-grandchildren- Tyler, Brett, Corbin, Mason, Kyle, Kaylie and Michael, special friends- Crystal, Sady, Peyton, Brady, Mcgwire Cutrell, Heidi, Mariah Mills, Jerry Hickman, Robert Isaac, Mike and Carolyn Upperman and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers-Kenneth, Bill, Jack, Don, Bob, Jim and Joe Barnes. Francis was a graduate of Catlin High School in 1961. He began working at Smith and White Vending which he was a part of for 27 years until retiring in 2006. He enjoyed being retired, being a St. Louis Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys fan, his dog Jada and most of all his grandchildren. A Celebration of Buddy's Life will be held on Thursday February 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor Raymie Gordon officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday February 15, 2012 from 3-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery in Danville. Memorials can be made in Francis's name to the American Cancer Society or Provena United Samaritans Cancer Center.
