Francis L. Fleck

Clinton, Ind. - Francis L. Fleck, 90, of Clinton and formerly of Perrysville, Indiana passed away at 10:10 p.m. EST Monday, January 9, 2017 at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana. She was born April 2, 1926 in Dana, Indiana the daughter of the late Russell and Mabel (Craft) Kyger. Francis first married Robert Shields on June 8, 1944. From this marriage were six children. She later married Samuel Elias Fleck on February 3, 1976 in Ridge Farm, Illinois. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2014. Survivors include six children: Carolyn Conrad and Judy Shields both of Okeechobee, Florida; Jack (Bonnie) Shields of Perrysville, Indiana; Cindy Fulkerson of Clinton, Indiana; Tom (Faye) Shields of McIntosh, Alabama and Scott (Marie) Shields of Perrysville, Indiana; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Marjory Seibold of Covington, Indiana and Beverly (Wynn) Jones of Dana, Indiana; two brothers, Cloyd Kyger of Ridge Farm, Illinois and Frank (Suds) Kyger of Chatham, Illinois. Francis was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Shields and one sister, Ester Mae Kyger Francis was a nurse at the former Lakeview Hospital and also at the Veterans Administration Hospital both in Danville, Illinois. She also worked in home health care in the area. She attended the Covington Church of the Nazarene. Francis enjoyed traveling with her late husband in their motorhome and also on their motorcycle.
