Frances Wallace

WESTVILLE - Frances Wallace, of Westville, passed away at 9:45am, on Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at home. She was born on July 5, 1924, in Catlin, IL, the daughter of Anton and Rose Thomas Kovack. She was married to Anton Jack A.J. Wallace on May 6, 1944, in Georgetown, IL. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2008. Those who will miss her include: her children, Sharon (Jim) Hart of Clovis, NM, Jackie Wallace of Danville, Pamela Dalbey of Westville, & Tina (Mark) Cravens of Georgetown; her nine grandchildren, Nicole (Richard) Hahn of Clovis, NM, Jason (Kari) Tate of Albuquerque, NM, Jennie Len Wallace of Bismarck, Justin Michael (Kelly) Wallace of Alvin, Jodi (Nick Jones) Steinwand of Westville, Tony (Tinisha) Cravens of Georgetown, Lexi (Kenneth) Nichols of Colorado Springs, CO, Alison Cravens of Georgetown, & Andy Cravens of Georgetown; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Dalton, Abigail, Dane, Reese, Mason, Hailee, Addison, Michael, Kaylee, Hadley, Lincoln Anthony, Lucy Olivia, & Pailynn Kay; her sister Rose Borges of Westville. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tony Kovack. Frances was a member of the St. Isaac Jogues Alter and Rosary. She loved the Lord and the Bible. She enjoyed her years as a part-time Bailiff at the courthouse. She liked crocheting and shopping. She had a warm friendly smile and knew how to make you feel welcome in her home. She was a great cook and loved being around her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She was very fond of her dogs. A celebration of Francess life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday May 1, 2009 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Fr. John Paninski and Pastor Joe Humrichous will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday April 30, 2009 at the funeral home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
