Frances W. Mcneese

Frances W. McNeese 89 of Danville passed away at 9:20 p.m. Wednesday August 23, 2006 at North Logan Health Care. She was born July 23, 1917 in Danville the daughter of William and Lydia Allen Longer. She married Herschel McNeese on July 31, 1934 in Springfield, IL; he preceded her in January of 1963. Surviving; a daughter in-law; Marilyn McNeese of Danville, two sisters; Cathryne Bahls and Ruth Curry both of Danville, three granddaughters; Kolleen Stacey of Oakwood, Tina (Jim) Potter of Danville, Christy McNeese of Danville, In, three great-grandchildren; Lexi Stacy of Oakwood and Allison and Kayla Potter both of Danville, two nieces; Cindy Curry of Westville and Linda Curry of Danville, one nephew; Fritz (Kay) Morgan of Tilton. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons William and Larry. Before retiring Frances worked at the V.A. Hospital as a Nurses Aid for many years. She was a life long member of Bowman Ave Methodist Church in Danville, Member of N.A.R.P. Frances enjoyed flower gardening, knitting, playing the organ and cooking. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. A celebration of life funeral service for Frances will be 2:00 p.m. Monday August 28, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Rev. Jim Williams officiating.
