Frances Thaney

TILTON: Frances E. Thaney 94 of Tilton passed away at the Hawthorne Inn in Danville on Friday Morning, March 7, 2008. She was born on December 14, 1913, in Lamberphil, Arkansas, the daughter of Ben and Annie Hoskins Holland. Both deceased. On August 12, 1950, Frances married Mark Thaney in Tilton. He preceded her in death in 1994. Survivors include her two children: John (Doris) Aleknas of Secton, Alabama, and Ann Aleknas of Danville. Her eight grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, and two more due this year. Her brother and two sisters precede Frances in death. Frances worked at the VA hospital in Danville with 20 years of service, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Holiday Hills Free Methodist Church in Danville. She was a member of the Red Hat Society during her stay at the Hawthorne Inn. She enjoyed spending her time with her children, and grandchildren, as well as traveling with her husband Mark.
