Frances Krevalis

Frances Krevalis, 99, of Danville, passed away at 8:43pm, Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at home surrounded by family. She was born on December 17, 1923, in Westville, IL, the daughter of Andrew and Anna {Kaltun} Mayoras. She was united in marriage to Martin Krevalis for many years until his passing in 1995. Frances is survived by her children, Martin (Karen) Krevalis, Mark (Ute) Krevalis, and Carol Holmes; her grandchildren, Rebecca Holmes, Stephen Holmes, Lisa Johnson, Jessica (David) Cange, & Eric Krevalis; her twelve great grandchildren; and her sister, Catherine Jumps. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her children, Mary Ann (Larry) McGill, Susan Krevalis, and Michael Krevalis; and her seven siblings, Michael, Andrew, John, Anna, Josephine, Theresa, and Mary. Frances graduated from St. Johns Nursing School in Springfield and worked as a nurse at the Danville VA Hospital for many years. She was a lifelong member of Holy Family Church. She volunteered in the kitchen for the Catholic School system beginning when it was St. Patricks School and then through Holy Family School and then later at St. Pauls School. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening, and doing large jigsaw puzzles with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, Monday, September 11, 2023, at Holy Family Church, 444 E Main St, Danville, IL, with Father Loftus officiating. Visitation will be held 2:00pm to 4:00pm, Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Westville, Illinois 414 S State St. Westville, Illinois 61883. She will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Holy Family Church.
