Frances 'Jerry' Winland

Frances Geraldine "Jerry" Winland, 96, of Georgetown, passed away at 4:20am, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living, Chrisman. She was born on March 22, 1926, in Georgetown, the daughter of Kelly and Ola {Howard} Williams. She was united in marriage to Donald Wayne Winland until his passing in 2010. They had enjoyed 63 years of marriage together.

Jerry will be dearly missed by her children, Gil (Dawn) Winland and Eric Winland; her grandchildren, Parker, Emilee, Alec, Cameron, (their mother, Kayla), Adam (Valerie) Winland (and their children, Benjamin, Christopher, and Rose), Erin (Mike) Langevin (and their children, Avery, Ethan, Alex, Elyse, and Mikaila), and Allie (Calvin) Frey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her three children, Patricia, Doug, & Teresa; and her six siblings.

Jerry was beautiful spiritual person who loved her children and cherished her grandchildren and doted on her great grandchildren. She was generous and loving and was always there to help raise her nieces and nephews and be there for them throughout their lives. Jerry assisted her husband with his business in Georgetown and continued to help her children with the business. She was well-known to always dress nice and be kind and had a wonderful light about her. She also enjoyed cooking fried chicken and loved to tend her garden. Jerry was well loved and will be affectionately remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

A celebration of Jerrys life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Georgetown Cemetery, E West Street, Georgetown. Her family entrusted her arrangements to Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Georgetown, Illinois 200 E. West St. Georgetown, Illinois 61846.
