Frances 'Jean' O'Donohue

Danville - Frances "Jean" O'Donohue, 90, of Paris, formerly of Danville, IL passed away at 12:16 am on August 17, 2018. Jean was born on June 11, 1928 the daughter of Claude H. and Nellie G. (Riggs) Boushey in Terre Haute, IN. While attending St Joseph's Girls Academy in Terre Haute, IN Jean worked at the Goodie Shop and for a brief while at an insurance agency both in Terre Haute, IN. Later Jean moved to Chicago, IL to work as an Executive Secretary for the Illinois Bar Association and in 1976 Jean moved to Danville, IL to work as a Secretary at the Vermilion County Courthouse and retired in 1988. Jean was a member of St Paul's Catholic Church in Danville, IL, was politically savvy and active in Vermilion County politics, loved to work crossword puzzles, read various books, clipping and keeping newspaper articles, was a Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball and old movies on Turner Classic Movie channel, and enjoyed animals; domestic and wild. Jean is survived by her daughter-in-law; Kathleen O'Donohue of Evansville, IN, her niece; Teresa (Mark Nitzel) Mayfield of Eagle River, WI, Godson; Brannon Worner of Land O' Lakes, FL as well as special friend; Dean Crandall and many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Jean is preceded in death by her parents, her son; Michael O'Donohue, her daughter; Karen O'Donohue, her brothers; Cluade Vincent Boushey and her twin Frank James Boushey, her sisters; Mardel Hass, Helen McCann, Lucile Scott, Margaret Mayfield and Ruth Brashear. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street Danville, IL. Father Bo Schmitt will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
