Frances J Nelson

Frances J. Nelson, 78, of Danville, passed away at 1:52am, Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at North Logan Health Care, Danville. She was born on June 22, 1933, in Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of David and Ann Marie {Crombie} Cummings. She was wed to Floyd C. Reed Sr. on September 13, 1952, and later married Dale Nelson in 1976 until his passing on January 30, 1989. She is survived by: her sons, Floyd (Terri) Reed Jr. of Bismarck & Danny Reed of Danville; her daughters, Connie (Mike) Adams of Danville, Bonnie (Danny) Lazzell of Danville, & Suzzane Reed of Danville; her twelve grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Her parents preceded her in death. Frances worked as a telephone operator for AT&T and later worked as a switchboard operator for the former Wolford Hotel. She enjoyed gardening & flowers, as well as, reading and cooking. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family and grandchildren. A celebration of Frances' life will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, Westville, with Pastor Daniel Fienen officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Danville. Memorial donations may be given in her name to American Diabetes Association.
