Frances H Hansen

Frances H. Hansen, 92, of Georgetown, IL, passed away at 5:00am, Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Colonial Manor in Danville. She was born on February 22, 1919, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Oliver and Cora {Brazelton} Dubre, both deceased. She was united in marriage to Nels Hansen on July 2, 1946, in Danville, IL, until his passing on October 9, 2002. She is survived by: her step-son, Richard (Joanne) Hansen of Battle Creek, MI; her step-daughters, Barbara (Jerry) Buskirk of Battle Creek, MI, & Carol Lee of Lawton, MI; her twelve grandchildren; many great grandchildren; her brother, Ollie (Barbara ) Dubre of Pana, IL; her sister, Dorothy Swaim of Georgetown; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by: four sisters, Helen Rolinitis, Marian Godsey, Virginia Brown, & Jeanette Bailey; and two grandchildren, Linda Raychel & Todd Little. Frances worked as a supervisor for Herf Jones Co. in Indianapolis, IN, in her younger days. She was a faithful member of the First Church of Christ of Georgetown, as well as, the Westville American Legion Auxiliary Post #51. She enjoyed playing cards and sewing. She and Nels loved playing Bingo. A celebration of Frances life will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, March 17, 2011, at First Church of Christ, 503 N Main St, Georgetown, with Steve Rutter to officiate. Visitation will be held 4pm-7pm, Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, Georgetown. She will be laid to rest in Danville National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in Frances name to Provena Cancer Center of Danville.
