Frances C. Hill, 87, of Danville passed away on Sunday July 1,2007 at 7:05pm at Provena U.S.M.C. Logan Campus. Frances was born July 15,1919 in Fithian the daughter of Claude and Lillian Barr Trego. On February 24,1946 she married Leo E. Hill in Danville, he preceded her on August 1,2002. Surviving are her children Terrence (Marla) Hill of Danville, Pamela Hill of Savoy and Martin (Christy) of Indianapolis; grandchildren Jeremy Hill of New York, Courtney (Dale) Hemker of Danville, Erin (Glen) Kelly and Jonathan Hill both of Indianapolis; great grandchildren Barak and Zeke Kelly of Indianapolis and Dillion Hemker of Danville; and a niece Kay (Frank) Scagnoli of Logansport,In.also many other loved nieces, nephews and cousins. Frances taught for many years with the 118 school district and Georgetown-Ridgefarm School Districts. She was a member of the Retired Teachers, DHS class of 1936. She will always be remembered for the many prayer books that she made by hand for anyone in need. Frances was also a member of St. James United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Womens Group. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Frances life will be held on Friday July 6,2007 at 3:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street. Officiating Rev. Tiffany Black. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until time of services at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund has been established in her name and may be sent to the Danville Public School Foundation, Frances C. Hill Scholarship Fund.
