Frances Becker, 70, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:30am, Monday, July 2, 2012, at her home. She was born on July 31, 1941, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Charles and Lelia B. {Wiltermood} Gastent, both deceased. She is survived by: her daughter, Tamara (Randall) Simmons of Tulsa, OK; her grandchildren, Kipi (Melinda) Becker of Jacksonville, FL, Seksa (Brad) Becker of Charenton, LA, Niki Jo Becker of Jacksonville, FL, & Cais Simmons of Jacksonville, FL; her great grandchildren, Rileigh Jo Becker, Emma Mullen, Cailey Simmons, & Imri Simmons; her brother, Charles (Barb) Gastent of Westville; and her brother-in-law, George Haskins of Westville. She was preceded in death by: her sister, Carol Sue Haskins; and her son, Tommy Joe Becker. Frances was a rural mail carrier and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, as well as, a member of the First Church of Christ in Georgetown. She loved gardening and tending her flowers. She loved to go on roller coasters and watching sports. Frances enjoyed going on vacation with her grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, July 6, 2012, at the First Church of Christ Ministry Center, Georgetown, with Steve Rutter officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the Ministry Center. As per her wishes, Frances was cremated. Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home assisted her family. Memorial donations may be given in her name to Foundation Fighting Blindness or the American Cancer Society.
