Forrest J. Bonebrake 84 of Danville passed away at 7:35 P.M. Thursday January 26, 2006 at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. He was born November 21, 1920 in Danville the son of Art E. and Hazel M. Hendryx Bonebrake. He married Lila Finley in 1972 she preceded him in August of 1973. Surviving are three nieces; Carol (Ron) Shaw of Danville, Shirley (Ken) Moffett of McCormick South Carolina, Janice (Pete) Brown of Oakwood, one nephew Jerry (Marsha) Cranmore of Danville. His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death. Before retirement, Forrest had worked for Danville High School as a custodian for 31 years. Forrest had served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 to 1946. He was a member of Lincoln United Methodist Church, also the V.F.W # 728, AMVETS and the D.A.V. He enjoyed collecting coins and stamps and playing Bingo. A Celebration of life committal service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday January 30, 2006 at Springhill Chapel Mausoleum. Burial: Springhill Cemetery. The V.F.W. Post 728 will perform military rites. Memorials can be made to Veterans of Foreign Wars 9 Pine St. Danville, IL 61832.
