Floyd Wells

Floyd E. Wells, 77, of Danville passed away on December 27, 2008 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Floyd was born September 14, 1931 in Homer, IL son of Ira and Edna Musson Wells. He married Priscilla Sid Huron in 1950. She survives along with 6 children: Cathy (Ron) Miller of Tilton, Connie (Dave) Jackson of Tilton, Jim (Jo) Wells of Tilton, Sally (Steve) Jones of Tilton, Floyd (Jennifer) Wells of Oakwood and Tim Wells of Tilton; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren; 8 siblings: Ronnie, Danny, Robert, Kenny, Norma Boes all of Danville, Larry of Westville, Sandra Kiser of Fairmount, and Betty Lewis of Georgetown. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Floyd Jr., daughter Teresa, and two sisters Josephine & Maryann. Floyd enjoyed going to auctions, fishing, and most of all spending time with his family. He formerly worked at Berkley-Davis for 20 years and most recently worked as the head of security at DACC until retiring in 2004. A Celebration of Floyds Life will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, January 2, 2009 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Dustin Wells officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Danville.
