Floyd Lee Brooks Jr

Floyd Lee Brooks Jr, 52, of Georgetown, passed away at 1:45am, November 5, 2009, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. He was born on May 6, 1957, in Danville, IL, the son of Floyd Brooks Sr and Patricia Morur Brooks. He was married to Susan Campbell on December 10, 1986. She will miss him dearly. Other survivors include: his father, Floyd Brooks Sr; his children, Roy Campbell, Jeremiah (Steffanie) Lyons, Dustin (Renee Koss) Campbell, Johnny (Rachel) Brooks, Tammi (Brian) Appelman, & Jennifer Campbell; lots of beautiful grandchildren; his brothers, Ronald Brooks, David (Sharon) Brooks, Darrell Brooks, Troy Brooks, Bobby (Robin) Brooks, Dwayne Riggle, & Chris Riggle; his sisters, Laurie (Chris) Jenkins, Alice (Bruce) Shoemaker, & Amy Johnson; and a brother in-law Rick Short. He was preceded in death by: his mother; a son; a brother; and a sister. Floyd was an over the road truck driver with Walker Farms. He enjoyed racing stock cars, campfires & cookouts with the family, as well as, spending time with his grandkids. He was his wifes greatest companion. He will be missed by all who knew him. A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 3:30pm, Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Elwood Cemetery. Roger Mertens will officiate.
