Floyd E. Cox, 63, of Tilton passed away on Friday July 10, 2020. He was born on August 28, 1956 in Danville, the son of Marshall and Joyce Cox.

He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife of 44 years, Pamela Cox; sons, Joe (Jamie) Cox, Charles Cox (Angie Cross), Jon (Lacey) Cox; daughter, Nicole Cox; father, Marshall Cox Sr.; brother, Dean Cox; 16 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Floyd is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Cox; Sister, Cheryl Cox; maternal and paternal grandparents; grandson, Brody Cox; granddaughters, Mazzie Cox and Nakota Jones.

Floyd was a kind and loving man who would do anything for his family and friends. He was an avid Miami Dolphins and Chicago Cubs fan. Floyd enjoyed bowling whether it was in person or watching it on tv and he would tell you that in his spare time he watched the best tv shows (although others may disagree). Floyd was an excellent husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.

A Celebration of Floyds life will take place at 2pm on Friday July 17, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 with Lynette DeAtley officiating. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday July 16, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.

Memorials may be placed in Floyds name to the American Cancer Foundation.
