Florence E. Crawford

Florence Crawford Florence E. Crawford, 96, of Danville, died at 9:20 pm on Friday, March 11, 2008 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born December 16, 1911 in Danville, IL, the daughter of Edward L. and Bernice (Fullington) Esworthy. From the age of seven she made her home with her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elijah Fullington of Oakwood, IL. She was a graduate of O.T.H.S and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1933. She married Lowell D. Crawford Jan 6. 1934. He preceded her in death December 13, 1981. Survivors of Florence include several beloved cousins, in laws, and friends. Florence served in the US Army Nurse Corps during the latter part of WWII. She enjoyed nursing, homemaking, gardening, and travel. She was also an active member of St. James United Methodist Church. A celebration of life for Florence E. Crawford will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at 10:00 am graveside at Sunset Memorial Park, located at 3901 N. Vermilion St. in Danville, IL.
