Flora May Hubner

Flora May (Sally) Hubner (ne Andrews) went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 5, 2017. She was born on July 27, 1918 in the home of her parents Arnet and Nellie Andrews in Warren County, Indiana. After graduating from West Lebanon High School in 1935, she attended Business College in Lafayette, Indiana. While working in the office of JC Penney in Lafayette, she met her husband of 48 years, Robert L. Hubner. Her family was her greatest focus and interest throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling and doing things with them. Sally was an active member of the Town and Country Garden Club of Lake Worth, Florida. She loved to play bridge or Euchre and earned several trophies bowling. Being an accomplished seamstress, she made many of her daughters' clothes including their wedding dresses. Being a lifelong Presbyterian, she was a member of Marshfield Presbyterian church in Indiana and Lake Osborne Presbyterian church in Lake Worth, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son; James C. Hubner, her two brothers; Alton Andrews and William "Bill" Andrews, as well as two sisters; Christine Post and Ruth Fink. Her memory will be cherished by her remaining children; Robert (Pat) Hubner, Karen H. (Mike) Miller, Luann H. (Gene) Fowler, her 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Pastor Joe Humrichous. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held prior to services from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or a church or charity of your choice.
