Fleeta M. Schultz

Fleeta M. Schultz, 95, of Danville passed away on January 15, 2018 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on November 12, 1922 in Danville the daughter of Alva and Myrtle (Pearson) Hicks. Fleeta married Ralph C. Schultz on January 22, 1942 in Champaign, IL and he preceded her in death in 2015. Fleeta will be deeply missed by her two sons; Stephen (Clellene) Schultz of Danville and Larry (Molly) Schultz also of Danville, three grandchildren, four step grandsons and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers; Homer and Clyde Hicks, sister Maxine Leisch and beloved twin sister, Frieda Hedgpeth. Early in her life while the boys were young Fleeta was a homemaker. When the boys were older and went off to school she started work in the OB department at St. Elizabeth's. Fleeta went on to beauty school in Danville, got her beautician's license and opened her own shop at the house. After many years of doing hair she stared working at Lakeview in medical records until her retirement. Fleeta and Ralph attended Farmer's Chapel United Methodist Church in Danville, loved to travel and go ballroom dancing. A celebration of Fleeta's life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 3 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. Visitation will be from 1-3 PM prior to the service. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in her name to Farmer's Chapel United Methodist Church 414 Poland Rd Danville, IL 61834.
