Fern Reed

Fern Reed, 94, of Danville passed away at 1:00PM Sunday November 14, 2004 at North Logan Health Care Center. Fern was born July 12, 1910 in Danville to James O. and Tacy A. (Wynn) Stovall. She married Donald G. Reed August 31, 1941 in Danville. Survivors include one brother James M. Stovall of Danville, and one sister-in-law Betty (Don) Crawford, one niece Kathleen (Ron) Roark of Danville, one nephew Ronell G. (Joyce) Stovall of Springfield, one cousin Patsy Bartech of Danville, many great-nieces and great-nephews, and one special friend Rose Marie (Paul) Wallace. Fern was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, two sisters: Juanita Epperson and Guinevere Stovall. Fern was a housewife. She was a member of the American Legion and Elks Club Auxiliaries. Her lifetime hobby was Christian services. Fern was a member of the First Church of Christ and was a volunteer to the following organizations: Christian Women Auxiliary, Cunningham Children Home Auxiliary, Church World Services, American Bible Society, St Jude Children Hospital, Center for Children Services and the Baby Fold, Normal, IL.
