Fausto (David) C. Fuentes, beloved Husband and Father passed peacefully from this life the morning of Sept. 5, 2013 while surrounded by family at Presence Hospital in Danville, IL. Fausto was born Feb.18, 1932 in Tasquillo, Hidalgo, Mexico to Ricardo and Rosa Corona Fuentes. Fausto was educated in Mexico. As a young adult, he pursued dreams and goals of further enriching his life in the United States. He settled in Danville, IL. And married his wife of 55 years, Jeanenne Kelly to whom he was completely devoted. He was also devoted to his children, Matthew (Judith) Fuentes of Danville, Mario (Lindsay) Fuentes of Georgetown, Angie Coffey of Danville , and Anthony M. Fuentes Sr. who proceeded him in death 8 weeks prior. His endearing presence will also be missed by Grandchildren: J. Squires of Champaign, IL., John Snyder II of Westville, IL., Maria Truitt of Advance, Ind., Anthony Fuentes Jr. of Danville, IL., Shiena Wilkins and Marc Gossar, of Browns town, Ind. and Nicholas Fuentes of Danville IL. He also leaves behind one Brother, two Sisters and many Nieces and Nephews all who reside in Mexico. Fausto was greeted in heaven by his Son, Parents, and two Sisters. Fausto was known throughout the community as a dedicated family man and respected business man being owner and operator of H&L Rug and Furniture cleaners for 36 years with his wife Jeanenne. His favorite part of the business was serving his customers, many of whom became lifelong friends. Later he retired from D.A.C.C. after 16 years of service. He will also be remembered for having been instrumental in the early formation of several organizations established to help community Latinos attain housing, education, and employment. He was eager to help everyone perused a better and never missed an opportunity to lend assistance. Fausto presented himself as a good example by furthering his education at D.A.C.C. and proudly becoming a naturalized citizen of the United States. In his spare time he was an avid reader, especially of current events. He also enjoyed many sports with his Children and Grandchildren, playing tennis, swimming, bowling, and bicycling. He believed in keeping his body and mind active. Faustos family would like to express much gratitude to the ICU staff at Presence Hospital, also our warmest thanks to Dr. Bobat and Father Deus Byomuhangi for the guidance and comfort they provided along each step through the journey of Faustos illness. A celebration of Faustos life will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville IL. with Father Deus Byomuhangi officiating and burial at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville.
