Everett Adelbert Umphenour, 91, of Danville, died at 3:02 pm on Sunday, February 19, 2006 at North Logan Health Care in Danville. He was born October 12, 1914 in Danville, IL the son of Carl Sr. and Martha (Rehberg) Umphenour. He married Ruth Becker on September 10, 1938 in Angola, Indiana. She survives. Everett is also survived by three sons: Thomas Umphenour of Almont, Michigan, Gerald Umphenour of Covington, Indiana, William Umphenour of Catlin, Illinois; one foster daughter: Shirly Johnson of Champaign; two brothers: Fred Umphenour of St. Louis, Missouri; Barton Umphenour of Wappapello, Missouri; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two foster daughters: Betty Tables, Dorothy West; two brothers: Carl and Harold Umphenour; and two sisters: Edythe Morgan and Zepha Roark. Everett was a machinist at Hyster for 34 years until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Mens Club, Trinity Lutheran In Reach Out Reach, Hyster 7+, and the Hyster Senior Hi Life. He enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Frontier Twirlers. Everett also enjoyed bowling and doing work around the house.
