Everett Earl Clark, 87, of Danville, IL passed away on January 26, 2019 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
He was born on December 24, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Vern and Carrie (Champion) Clark. Everett was raised by his stepfather, Clarence Evans. He was married to Norma Jean Cessna on May 18, 1957. They spent 61 wonderful years together. She survives.
Everett will be deeply missed by his wife, Norma, daughters, Kathy Arney of Bismarck, IL, Lynnette (Jeff) Owens of Danville, IL, grandchildren; Ryan Arney of Berea, KY, Kendra (Chris) Ziemnisky of Danville, Nicholas (Lynne) Owens of Belmont, MI, Amanda (Jake) Bohlen of Fithian, IL, great grandchildren; Olson and Annaston Bohlen, Addyson and Alyza Ziemnisky, step-sisters, Donna Metcalf and Elizabeth Perez, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, daughter, LuAnn Towell, grandson, Troy Arney and ten siblings.
Everett graduated from Soloman Juneau High School in Milwaukee, WI in 1950. After graduating in January, he enlisted and served in the United States Navy from 1950-1953 on the U.S.S Gearing DD710 as a fire control technician. Everett retired from National Cash Register as a system engineer in 1995. He worked at ESCO and was the owner of Datatec Inc. for several years. He then went to Office Max and Sunset Funeral Home for 11 years, where he was the greeter. Everett was a member of the American Legion Post #210 in Danville. Former member of Bismarck-Henning School Board and Lions Club. He was a jury commissioner for the 5th judicial district. He enjoyed going to all his children and grandchildren s sporting events. He coached womens slow-pitch softball for many years. Everett was an avid sports fan, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member and concert gospel organizer at Farmers Chapel Church and a life member of formerly Northland Christian Church. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Everett never met a stranger and was a friend to all especially his adopted Sunset family.

A celebration of Everetts life will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Pastors Jim Blue and Darla Holden officiating. Visitation will be held from 3-7 PM Friday, February 1, 2019 at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in his name to Farmers Chapel Church or The American Diabetes Association.
