Everett Coultas

Everett R. (Slim) Coultas, 81, of Danville, died at his home on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. He was born February 17, 1927 in Centralia, IL, the son of Roy B. and Mabel (Prunier) Coultas. He married Lois L. Heiti on April 8, 1956. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2005. Survivors include his sons, Jim (Terri) Coultas of Ashley, IL, Ed (Kelly) Coultas, of Danville, Jeff Coultas of Danville, and his daughter, Laury D. Coultas of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Melanie Coultas of Ashley, IL, a great-granddaughter, Macee, a grandson, Derek Coultas, and a great-grandson Mason Coultas all of Ashley, IL, several nieces and nephews, and of course, his favorite sister-in-law, Carol Alexander of Georgetown, IL. Slim created Coultas Recycling in 1979, retired from Lauhoff Grain Company in 1985, and then left Coultas Recycling in 2002. He was veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He was actively involved in the area Demolition Derby circuit. Slim certainly will be missed by many drivers, mechanics, and fans. A celebration of life for Everett R. (Slim) Coultas will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 28, 2008, at Sunsets Life and Tribute Center located at 3550 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, with Pastor Scott McCurdy officiating. Burial will be at Danville National (VA) Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM on Friday, March 28 2008 at the tribute center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Danville Public Library at 319 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61832. Please, write ER Coultas on the note/memo of your check.
